Even the proud "Yellowstone" Dutton family needs a party pooper.
Enter Jamie Dutton (the deliciously creepy and highly campy Wes Bentley), who continues his scheming, back-stabbing and dastardly Dutton double dealing in the second half of Season 5, streaming on Paramount Network on Nov. 10 (8 EST/PST).
In this exclusive "Yellowstone" Week at USA TODAY first look Jamie, the Montana attorney general, doubles down on duplicity after he called for the impeachment of his own father, Governor John Dutton (Kevin Costner), during January's midseason finale.
This battle takes on more significance since Costner left "Yellowstone." Will Jamie's weasely wrangling put the kibosh on Costner's John Dutton, or will the hitman Jamie's been trying to hire snuff out his TV daddy once and for all? We see you, Jamie!
Please note that smooth operator Senator Lynelle Perry (Wendy Moniz), who set her onetime ally and former lover John on the governor's path, is at the bully pulpit with Jamie. Et tu, beautiful Lynelle?

But the family treachery doesn't end there, as Jamie has restarted the forever family war with his perfectly twisted sister Beth (Kelly Reilly), who hit him with a rock in the midseason finale. We all know who'll come out on top of that sibling battle, even before Beth's hunky hubby Rip (Cole Hauser) gets his meathooks on Jamie.
Is there a Las Vegas bookie willing to take a bet that Jamie doesn't end up at the Dutton family "Train Station" by the end of the season? Following a report in the Puck newsletter, other media outlets have confirmed that "Yellowstone" is in negotiations for a Season 6 after all, with Beth and Rip leading the charge. Paramount Network declined comment.
For the final batch of Season 5 episodes, we've already revealed the first look of power couple Beth and Rip, as well as the couple that pulls our heartstrings, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) and wife Monica (Kelsey Asbille).
Why is Kevin Costner leaving 'Yellowstone'?
Costner has crossed swords and butted heads with "Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan over creative issues and scheduling, a disagreement exacerbated by Costner's ambition to create, direct and star in the Western movie franchise, "Horizon: An American Saga."
In June, at the end of an extensive media tour for "Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1," Costner posted an Instagram video confirming he would not return to finish the series.
"Simply with all the questions that were being asked, the longer I thought about that ... I just wanted to say that this is a stepping-off point," Costner later told USA TODAY. "Whatever I'd hoped for maybe was not in the cards. I don't want to keep saying, 'Yeah, I hope I can do it.' That's drifted to a place that I don't think is realistic anymore."
